From the village of Verzi starts the footpath which reaches the CAI refuge at Pian delle Bosse (841 m.), the usual stop for those who want to reach the highest mountain in the province of Savona, Monte Carmo.
A significant feature of Loano is the Castle, located in the heart of the old city, where you can spend a whole day.
In the village of Loano all historic buildings stand one by one here. Especially beautiful specimens are Palazzo Richeri and the Palazzo Doria built in the 16th century, where the City Hall is located now.

Well-being, health and relaxation, Loano, European Town of Sport 2010, offers more than an opportunity to enjoy a physically active holiday, with individual offers, services for "camps" and sport stages. A Sport Hall with basket and volleyball, the indoor swimming-pool, the outdoor Olympic swimming-pool, tennis courts, football grounds and the bowling-alley, a new sport stadium under construction, are the highlights of the town as far as sport is concerned. Many sport activities such as beach volley, sailing and surf, can be practicised on the sand and in the sea.
